The new Winsor & Newton Classic Cotton Stretched Canvas is manufactured for high performance.

Classic Canvases feature kiln-dried Fir/Paulownia wood that is tested to withstand moisture and warping. Each canvas is hand-stretched and back-stapled to ensure the best tension and present a smooth profile. The tailored corners are uncut and folded for extra cloth availability.

Highly-pigmented titanium dioxide gesso primer provides consistent coverage and color performance. The 12.3 oz. canvas creates balanced absorbency and tooth to improve adhesion and prevent the sinking of oil colors. All canvases are acid-free and archival.

The Classic Traditional Style offers a .75 in. profile. Each canvas includes wood keys for adjusting canvas tension.
